**Please note this specific table has sold, however I can build one in the same design with a wood and size of your choice just contact me to discuss.
This black walnut was recovered from a barn where it had air dried since being cut back in the 80's. This air drying process creates a rich, dark color that I accentuated by filling the natural cracks in the wood with copper metal powder, which stands in sharp contrast to the rich dark color of the walnut. This is one live edge slab joined to create a "waterfall" table - where the grain runs continuously over a 90 degree miter joint. This piece is silky smooth and measures 52x12 and stands 30" tall - the perfect size for a hall, console or sofa table.
If you have any questions about this table or if you would like to talk about a custom piece of any kind for your home just send me a message! I have many types of wood to choose from.
Have a nice day!

Every project begins at the same place - sourcing material. All of the domestic woods used in my projects such as walnut, cherry, oak, chestnut and maple are obtained from sawmills in Western North Carolina that process locally felled trees in order to support a sustainable and environmentally friendly business practice. I also mill some material from my own land.
I strive to utilize reclaimed lumber - wood that has been aged and distorted through natural processes such as spalting and worming - bringing to life the character that nature has created over time. All material is stored, milled and finished at my family owned workshop in Yancey County where it is processed from rough hewn plank to finished product.
Finishes are chosen based on application but are selected for durability, non-toxicity and aesthetic. Furniture is finished with either a water based urethane or tung oil. Kitchen items are finished with a food safe combination of mineral oil and beeswax.
