The tables pictured above are a few examples of tables I have made from the Appalachian woods of my region of Western North Carolina. I can custom build a conference table of any size in a variety of woods and styles just contact me to get the process started.
The first table pictured is a bookmatched pair of spalted maple that measures 72x30 and was made for a construction company in Maryland. I can ship anywhere in the USA and lead times vary from two to four weeks depending on my schedule. I use local, sustainably harvested woods that are hand selected and constructed with details and durability in mind.
This piece of spalted maple was sustainably harvested from a tree by that was taken down during construction in Asheville. The slab is filled with rich black lines that are created by a fungus interacting with the sugars in the wood over the course of the trees life. This piece was created from two "bookmatched" (concurrent cuts from the same log) slabs and would make a lovely countertop, desk or dining table. The knots can be removed upon request.
