The pictures above are an example of a kitchen island I made and installed for a local client out of ambrosia maple wood. I finish my countertops/islands with several coats of rubio monocoat followed by a ceramic topcoat which provides a durable and hydrophobic finish for easy cleanup. These are not meant to be cut on directly.

I do not make the cabinet bases just the island top.
